Smoke Daddy, Inc. is a family owned business that is committed to producing quality cold smokers and establishing good customer relations by providing good service.
We are not a large company but we are dedicated to adding enjoyment to the process of cold smoking foods for those who love them worldwide. Smoke Daddy, Inc. evolved from it's beginning of being a hobbyist's garage project with the grandsons to a more serious venture when my wife, Sarah, and I needed a new source of income. I am semi-retired from a long career as a machinist but am not suited to slowing down. I always need to be productive and I enjoy making the Smoke Daddy cold smokers I designed.
Sarah was a community liason for people with psychiatric disorders, assisting to find social services to aid in recovery. That came to an end with State of Illinois budget cuts several years ago. She encouraged the development of Smoke Daddy, Inc and has taken the role of President of the corporation. Sarah enjoys the work involved to help us become successful.
I married Sarah in 1973, shortly after high school graduation. We have two wonderful daughters and two terrific grandsons. All of us contribute to the growth of Smoke Daddy, Inc. and do our parts to make it succeed. Our daughter, Liz, has come on board to assist with assembly, shipping and other responsibilities. She has quickly become a valuable member of the corporation. Our daughter, Nancy, works for a law firm full time, but finds time to help us. She and her husband, Joe, have two boys who are "works in progress" for the future of Smoke Daddy, Inc. They enjoy helping when they are not in school and are learning a little about business. Who knows, maybe someday they'll run the place!
